Swatch x Omega Bioceramic Moonswatch 'Mission On Earth - Polar Lights'

The MISSION ON EARTH - POLAR LIGHTS is part of the BIOCERAMIC MOONSWATCH collection, created by Swatch in collaboration with OMEGA. Inspired by the beauty of the polar lights as seen from space, this non-limited model combines the iconic Speedmaster-inspired design with a distinctive turquoise, blue and silver color palette.

The watch features a turquoise Bioceramic case, crown and pushers, paired with a blue VELCRO® strap with contrasting turquoise topstitching. Its dark blue dial is decorated with tiny silver-colored sparkles inspired by aventurine glass. The arrangement of these sparkles differs from watch to watch, making every dial unique.

The recessed chronograph subdials feature turquoise hands and white counter rings, while the blue Bioceramic bezel is finished with a turquoise tachymeter scale. Super-LumiNova® on the hour markers and selected hands provides a green glow in low-light conditions.

Design & Inspiration

The MISSION ON EARTH - POLAR LIGHTS is inspired by one of Earth's spectacular natural phenomena viewed from space. It is one of three MISSION ON EARTH models, alongside MISSION ON EARTH - LAVA and MISSION ON EARTH - DESERT.

Its dark blue dial uses tiny silver-colored flakes inspired by aventurine glass, with the individual arrangement varying between watches. This gives each piece a subtly unique dial appearance.

The recessed subdials use radial Arabic numerals and indexes inspired by Speedmaster designs associated with OMEGA's Alaska II and III projects.

Bioceramic Construction

Swatch's Bioceramic material combines two-thirds ceramic with one-third biosourced material derived from castor oil, creating a robust material with the characteristic silky matte finish associated with the collection.
